Setting booking durations
Duration rules let you assign different booking lengths according to party size and, if required, service.
TABLE HARMONY uses a default booking duration of 2 hours. Duration rules let you assign different booking lengths according to party size and, if required, service.
View your duration rules
Go to: Settings → Booking rules → Durations
Here you can see all existing duration rules and the party sizes and booking lengths to which they apply.
Add or edit a duration rule
Select Add another duration rule, or select Edit beside an existing rule.
Configure:
- Service: Choose a particular service or select Any to apply the rule to every service.
- From / To: Set the range of party sizes covered by the rule.
- Minutes: Enter the booking duration in minutes.
- Active: Turn this on for the rule to be applied.
Select Save when finished.
How duration rules are applied
- The default duration is 2 hours when no duration rule applies.
- A service-specific rule takes priority over a rule applying to Any service.
- Inactive rules remain saved but are not applied.
- Changes affect new bookings only. Existing bookings retain their current duration.
- Staff can manually adjust the duration of an individual booking from the booking screen.
