Finding a Booking
Use the search box in Service View to find a reservation by name or telephone number, even when it is not on the current day's schedule.
The search box in Service View makes it easy to find a reservation, even if it isn't showing on the current day's schedule.
This is particularly useful when a customer arrives claiming to have a booking, but you cannot find it.
How to search for a booking
- Open Service View.
- Select the restaurant and date you want to check.
- Enter at least 3 characters of the customer's name or telephone number in the search box.
- Matching reservations will appear in a dropdown below the search box.
- Click a reservation to open its details.
Which bookings are included?
The search looks for bookings within 30 days before and 30 days after the date selected in Service View.
It includes bookings with all statuses, including confirmed, pending, cancelled and deleted reservations.
Each result displays the guest's name, reservation date, time, number of guests and booking status.
Deleted and cancelled bookings are clearly identified, making it easier to understand why a reservation isn't appearing on the normal schedule.
What if you can't find the booking?
Check that you have selected the correct restaurant.
If the booking may be outside the 30-day search window, change the date in Service View and search again.
Good to know: The search looks for reservations belonging to the selected restaurant, not historical guest profiles. Your normal schedule remains unchanged while you search.
