Managing booking requests

Find pending booking requests and accept them, offer another time or decline them.

Introduction

When your restaurant uses request confirmation, online bookings must be approved before they are confirmed. Table Harmony keeps these requests clearly visible so staff can accept them, suggest another time or decline them.

Finding pending booking requests

A yellow notification appears near the top of Service View whenever booking requests are waiting for a response. Select Open to display the pending requests.

Accepting a request

Select Accept to approve the request. The booking is immediately confirmed and a confirmation email is automatically sent to the guest.

The confirmed booking will then appear with the restaurant’s other bookings in Service View.

Offering another time

If the requested time is unavailable, select Offer another time.

Choose a different available time on the same day and select Send the offer. The guest is emailed immediately and the proposed time is held for them while the restaurant waits for their response.

The offer does not expire automatically. The restaurant can withdraw it at any time if it no longer wants to hold the proposed time.

Declining a request

Select Decline if the restaurant cannot accept the booking or offer a suitable alternative.

A reason must be entered before the request can be declined. This reason is included in the email automatically sent to the guest.

Keeping track of requests

Pending requests remain clearly highlighted until action is taken. Staff can return to them from either the Service View notification or the Updates page.
